Lightbulb bio spira and cycling

Hello everyone. I am now 3 weeks into my saltwater aquarium and everything is doing great. It is a 29 gallon aquarium so I added 20 pounds of live sand, 15 pounds of dry rock, 7 pounds of live rock, and I added enough bio spira for a 30 gallon tank. The 2nd day my tank was set up I added frozen shrimp to try to spike the ammonia, which didn't work. I got 2 clownfish a week after my tank was set up and I've had them for 2 weeks now. They are doing great, but there hasn't been a spike in anything yet, only the ph has fluctuated. About 4 days ago, the diatom bloom started and some hair algae has popped up today. Does anyone think my tank is cycled because there has been no spikes in any of my water parameters? Bio spira claims it cycles a fish tank within 24 hours. Any thoughts? Thank you.

How long after adding the bio spira did you test for ammonia? It works really fast, so if you didn't test within the first few hours you may have missed the spike.

Oh I didn't know that lol. I tested before I put and then the next morning. Is there gonna be any more ammonia spikes? Or any nitrite/nitrate spike? If not is it okay to put in a cleaner crew?

No you won't see any more spikes. Now just keep an eye on nitrates and of course others if you go the coral route.

You're fine to put in a cuc at this point. Just take it easy adding more livestock, go slow.

Used BioSpira on QT tanks I need to rush getting setup.

Basically dosed it and added fish a day or two later. All was fine, also dosed SeaChem Stability everyday.

+1
Bio Spira and stability are really good products!
I always dose Dr Tims Amonia to get my spike to 2ppm and then add the bio Spira and daily doses of stability!

This was my tank a couple weeks after I added..

And then this was a couple days after I added fish...

Diatom bloom and everything happened really quickly lol
