Unhappy Are Dragonets Jumpers?

I was sad to see that my dragonet had jumped out of my tank last night. I knew he jumped at night because I saw him before bed. I have a CAD Lights tank and always keep the lid on. Are the Dragonets known to be jumpers?

The lid sits on clear brackets, flush with the top of the tank. There is a very small opening that goes around the edge but this is probably about 1/6th to 1/8th of an inch and I never expected a fish could jump through an opening that small. Any recommendations so I don't lose more fish?

DIY mesh screen.. and literally cover EVERY opening...

Dragonets jump.. I've seen it. My ruby red scooter jumped twice on first night.

I wouldn't consider dragonets notorious jumpers, but like almost all fish, if startled, chased or otherwise in distress they may jump.

If it has a tail and lives in water I consider it a jumper... You usually never get to witness the carpet surfing. Too cheap of a fix to risk it with any fish IMO

I've lost a Mandarin to jumping - and a high-fin goby and a Hectors Goby and a couple of wrasses. Always seems to happen when I've got the lid off and working in the tank.

I had my new tank build wit full Euro-brace to prevent fish jumping in the corners.
I will likely also add Euro-braces to my 42 CAD light tank.
I feel rimless tanks are just like asking for fish to jump out in the corners.

In my 15 years of running reef tanks, I have lost 4 to jumping.

The CAD light tanks come with these. But on my tank they created a capillary path for water to get to the outside and generated constant salt encrustments and run lines on the front glass.

dragonets like to do a sort of mating dance at night where they ascend and descend in the water column. i would imagine this plays a roll into why some dragonets end up out of the tank and onto the floor. maybe they get a little overzealous
