Looks really nice. Sucks how gorgeous corals brown out when you move tanks, but youll be amazed how quick they color back up under the T5s. What photoperiod are you using? I accidentally bleached some of mine running the T5s for 10 hours - I completely underestimated them.

I am actually having the same issue now with some bleaching. Corals that i had directly under 400W XM10ks are now bleaching under T5. Im gonna cut back my lighting to 5-6hrs and move up from there.

Other then the minor bleaching I love T5's.

interesting to see how the total transfer startup is gonna work out with all the variables involved.
The white pvc is temporary until my black PVC comes in this week.

Hello,

The pro color seems to highlight the tips of many corals quite well. Currently I do not have it in the fixture. I am running 3 Blue+ and 4 Aquablue Special

Thank you.

After a year and some more coral additions the tank is going to be another contender.

Most of my pics are blue but this pic is the best representation of the color:

You went with the anenome, huh? Hopefully it stays put. It looks great, good job.

Question: You used the water from a previous setup, right?

I never listed the fish list, all fish came from my prior tank. This is the list so far:

Pacific Blue Tang
2x Yellow Tang
3x O. Clownfish
Royal Garama
Blue Damsel
Small Sohal tang
2xLyretail Anthias (male & female)

I sold off the large foxface and Naso tang. I lost a Copperband that I had for 3 years along with a kole during the transfer.

No anemone here.

80% of the the tank water came from the previous setup.

Yea, you can't complain about too much light

Just for kicks sometime try replacing 2 of the AB Specials with actinics, and see how you like the color. I like the coloration I got after I did this, and it might just be coincidence, but the bleaching stopped and the colors got deeper. Thats the great thing about T5s is mixing and matching, and if you don't like 'em just swap em back out.

by the way, did I say I like the scape? I love it. Its well thought out - you can tell you were thinking ahead to the space where the corals will grow into.

I love the color currently but I may replace an Aquablue with a Blue+ in the future.

As far as aquascape, I did leave quite a bit of room for growth. My prior tank looked pretty bare and ugly in the begining but quickly filled in. Here is a picture of my older tank when setup, and then 2 years afterward:

Yea, the Fiji purple does look like a nice bulb from what I have heard. I may have to give it a shot in the near future.

Hello,

the big monti cap is gone. After having it grow like a weed in my prior tank I dont think I will ever have a monti cap again. I have monti growing all over my tank, it was horrible.

I broke down the other reef and started fresh with this one. I sold off most of the coral, rock and fish but still carried a little over to the new tank.

WOW! so you went to T5's after MH's. Is there any reason to this? That's a pretty bold move. Well welcome to the "DARK SIDE" ! lol Hope you're successful! From what i've seen you're looking good. Are you planing on using Prodibio or zeovit in your system? From my experience with T5's selecting the right combo of bulbs is extremely important. I'm using TEK lighting but just orederd the ATI power modules for my 90 gal. good luck in the switch!!!

Well here are some more pics i just took, please excuse the tunzes, white PVC and unfinished stand as i will be taking care of them very soon. The stand still needs trim on the top and bottom, the tunzes will all be hidden from sight, and the black PVC is on the way:

Well ill tell you one thing, I will NEVER go back to MH's after running T5's. I know they say that lighting is a personal preference but the difference from MH to T5 is night and day for me. Corals are responding much better under T5's then they were under the MH's. I had corals inches away from 400W XM 10k's and they are bleaching under T5 in the new tank ON THE SAND BED!!

Gone are the shadows I had with MH's.

I am very, very happy with T5's.

The sump is VERY simple. I have a phosban Reactor that runs carbon, Deltec AP851 skimmer, heater, Ehiem 1260 return. No more, no less

The sump is located in a small room behind the tank
