14 Gallon Biocube Build

I'm going to start a tank trying to replicate DeMartinees tank. I'm going to buy a nanotuners topless 14 gallon biocube and hopefully a 16.5" 70w sunpod (If anybody knows a good alternative to this please tell), and either a aquaclear 110 refugium mod or a cpr2 refugium. The flow I'm not quite sure of (Could anybody help here). BTW I'm planning on keeping softies and lps (and maybe later on with upgraded lighting and a skimmer sps). Any suggestions for changes or general comments are welcomed. Thanks!!!
