alright, so I've been looking into rimless (no brace) tanks for their elegance and simplicity. I'll be starting from scratch and am open to suggestions on filters and lighting, I dont want the tank to be bigger than 90g and no taller than 24inches. ummm...where can i buy a quality rimless tank?

most likely going to have to go custom. AFAIK there are no larger rimless tanks made by mainstream companies. Some custom mfgs. are:
Aquariums Obsessed Glasscages.com (search lots of mixed reviews but more than likely the cheapest) AGE (acrylic & glass exzhibits, must go through a shop as they wont sell to you. I went with kingfish aquariums for mine.) There are a few more and even some that will do only acrylic if that is what you are looking for. As for your sump, go for the largest you can fit. Read up on the T5 vs MH debate on here and see what direction you want to take your tank. |

U also have Miracles that do custom aquarium.
i compagny here in montreal as some rimless tank but akward dimensions. Hagen does then ... Maybe you can order them. my sump is an hagen and is rimless. Be prepared to pay 3-4 times the prices of an standard aquarium... More if you want external overflow.

On top of miracles and hagen (not sure of availability), fluval also makes them. Like rider said, there is def. a premium to enter the rimless club

FWIW, I just picked up my new rimless from Miracles (just outside of Toronto) last week. They did an awesome job and have a HUGE warehouse filled with glass and machinery to assemble the tanks. Grade A+ customer service and not far off from the GlassCrap pricewise. GL Man!
![]() PS- I personally use a six-bulb T5 fixture over my tank. Whether going T5/MH, it seems to be a trend in the "rimless club" to buy a hanging kit and suspend your lights from the ceiling, adding to the overall amazing look. HTH

Marineland makes them too. I have a 60G rimless cube from Glasscages. The caulking on the tank really was poor and took a couple of days to clean up.
