Pairing black false perc with orange false perc?

...Like the title says...can you pair a Black false Perc with an Orange one?....or say a Goldstripe Maroon with a white stripe?

I wouldn't try it. I tried once in my tank and the Black false would not stop beating up on my orange one. It did it so much that I got ride of both and got a pair of false percs. Thats what happened to me, but all fish act a little different they have their own personalties.

I'd have to agree with Delr3.. I've had both occi's and black and whites, and by far the black and whites are more aggressive.

I had a mature ocellaris and added a black ocellaris, they are inseparable and have been spawning for 6 months now. I should try to raise some eggs to see what they look like.

From my experience, you need to match aggression levels closer than exact species. My black ocellaris is twice as aggressive as my orange one, but my orange one (female) is twice his size, so everything is gravy.

Clownfish will hybridize with completely different clown species, you just need to make a wise choice when it comes to age and aggression of your new additions.

I have a mixed pair and they are doing well. The orange one is the lady.
