LED supplements instead of T5
How many 3w royal blue LED's would I need to equal the PAR output of 36" ATI Blue plus? Im thinking about switching out my T5 supplements for two separate rows of LEDS to supplement my Radium bulb.
Thanks |

I was also thinking of doing this, I want to do 10 royal blues on each side and 2 reds on each side. cree says these put out 107 lumens each so that would be 2568 lumens (I think) but I bet you could get great "POP" with just 6 or 2 rows of 6

...I just set up a string of twelve RB Cree LED, and the PAR output is higher than the output from a 36" PC actinic bulb- I didn't have any T5.so I can't answer directly...
As for the POP of colors- it is pretty amazing. I am running the LEDS at about 500 mA as I am still figuring out the dimmer circuit (i'm a DIY-er)- essentially that means they are running at half throttle. |
