Question How to mount Aqua Illumination in a 12" canopy?

Ways to do this? Instruction pdf says it needs about 3" from top for
vebtillation. Do you need to cover the tank? Additional fans needed?

If using just 1 rail (mounting unit lengthwise), can the rails be modified to mount inside the canopy?

All suggestions welcome.

Mounting legs look way too short. Isn't 2" above water way to low????

Sorry for all the ?s, not sure the best way to do this.
7x2x2 tank

Thanks in advance.

Lightbulb Maybe never mind?

AI website says for under 12" need 6 units for 6', ridiculous.
for over 12" only need 3!!!
I'll have to find a way to go over 12" for sure!!!!!!!

I expect my AI's in about a week. I'll also be mounting them in a canopy. I think I have come up with a very elegant and inexpensive system but you'd probably want me to try it out first before I suggest it.

I am working on this setup for my 45X27X20 rimless, the rails will be held by 4X4 l brackets. This will give the lights 4 inch clearance from the top. The top will have ventilation as well as the back. This sketcg only has 2 lighs mine will have 3. The canopy will be suspended from the ceiling. Dimesion of the canopy will be 40X18X8. What do you think??

Very clever. I would be concerned about air space above the lights.

Are you concerned about the clearance?? There will be about 4 inches since the L-brackets are 4"X4" The top will be partually open to allow airflow.
