Hi,
I can't figure out what is wrong with the statement below. My alarm is on and I can't seem to shut it off, is my PH statement wrong or my power failure? Set OFF If Temp > 82.0 Then ON If Temp < 75.0 Then ON If pH > 08.50 Then ON If pH < 07.90 Then ON If Power EnergyBar1 Off 000 Then ON If Power EnergyBar2 Off 000 Then ON If Power Apex Off 000 Then ON Many thanks in advance. |

If you check the email you receive it will tell you the statement that triggered the alarm.

Make sure your email alarm outlet is set to AUTO and not MANUAL ON.

No Email period
Actually my email is not working either. So though the alert is on I am not getting anything. I got one when I first setup my email and it hasn't worked since...which I did not realize until now!
It appears everything is setup but when I check the box to test nothing happens. I don't know how to telnet into my controller either so I can't look at that. And it is set to AUTO. Thanks. Help is greatly appreciated. |

Read the instructions in the Reference Manual that's stickied for how to use telnet. You need to do that in order to get the debug results. ONce you do, post them here along with screen shots of your network settings page including the email settings.

Thanks for helping me...I was able to get some text but could not copy everything...anyway here is what I was able to get. It appears to say something about my account settings...what's that all about? The attached file is a screenshot of my Apex settings for the Email.

Look at the last couple lines of the debug log. There's your problem. It looks like you're using your gmail account credentials to log into gmx. That's not going to work!
In the 'from' address, use your gmx email ID. You can leave the 'to' with your gmail and the 'alt' can keep your phone number.

Still not working
Thanks Aquamanic but I do have my GMX address in the from, not sure if you looked at the thumbnail but that is what I have setup. Can you see anything else it could be?
When I looked at the Telnet results I thought it looked like there could be a problem with the username but my setup looked right. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you in advance, Brooke |
