Hi,
First post on this forum and wish that it were under better circumstances. I've recently (2 weeks ago) set up a salt water tank. I used live sand and live rock and had no issues cycling. Last Friday I installed a sump using an old overflow I got from a member of a local forum. I washed out the overflow but forgot to wash out the corrugated tubing ![]() Almost immediately, the anthelia and kenyan tree closed up. Also, the water turned quite cloudy. After 24 hours, the anthelia have turned pretty grey. The remaining life in the tank goes on, though the mushroom coral and button polyps are a bit closed up. I also have some GSP in the tank which has opened back up completely since the incident. Should I remove the anthelia from the tank? Conditions have settled: temp 78-80, salinity 1.024, DKH 18. Kenyan Tree ![]() Anthelia ![]() Thanks much, Rob |
