Leds and T5s together in canopy questions
I am building a new 75 gallon and i currently own 1 Gen 1 Radion xr30. Since the new tank has a canopy i thought that adding two T5s might help with spectrum etc. I still will need to buy another Radion since the tank width is 48" wide. How should i go about this? Any recommendations on T5 retro kits? I am thinking of mounting the radions directly to the canopy as well. Anyone done this? Pics etc? Should i even bother?

Don't have experience with what you are asking, but I know T5s put out a good amount of heat. 2 bulbs might not be a problem. Another thing is to make sure you have some good air flow through there, pulling that heat out if it does get hot.

I have 2 reefbreeder LEDs and a LIT 2 bulb 80w retro fit kit in my canopy on a 150 gal tank. The canopy has a cutout section in the back for air flow. I have not had any issues with heat.
