Stunner Chalice Growth Normal?

Hello Everyone,

I bought this stunner chalice about two months ago, and I was wandering if this growth is normal. I realized that the light was too intense as it was starting to turn tan in color, so I moved it down to the sand bed. However it is still growing underneath itself. Is this normal? If not, how can I fix this?

Thanks

It probably is okay with the light level and doesn't need the need to stretch out and make plates outwards as entrusting is a lot easier for them.

Maybe glue it to a bigger frag disk?
